I'm a researcher at Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Department of Animal Biology) and at Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre (MARE).

I am interested in studying the resilience of marine ecosystems by assessing patterns of functional diversity across different biological groups (i.e. multi-taxa) and habitat types (i.e. rocky areas, seagrass beds, kelp forests, coral reefs, seamounts) at different spatial scales. Ultimately, with my research I hope to contribute with knowledge about the functional vulnerability of marine habitats which represents an important step towards the designation of new priority areas for conservation.
